Psy Wizard guide

I met so many confused ppl ingame and on the forum that i decided to write this guide.
IMPORTANT: this guide is mostly for those who cannot afford to pay for this game. those who can pay will see what they can do in different way (using stuff from IM).
Psy wizard? one of the hardest to build up from the start. you wont have enough int and the basic atk skills are based on int except for one skill. psy wizards are getting power on higher lvls after you can grab most of your wizard skills.
facts you should know about psy wizards:
  • low normal attack damage
  • low damage in PvP
  • avarage damage in PvE under lvl 50 (can still outdamage most of the other classes)
  • godly AOE capabilitys in PvE on higher lvls
  • godly buffs/debuffs in PvP on higher lvls
stat build pre lvl 50:
you need int, doesnt matter what lvl you are, you need some decent int to power up your magic attack based skills. get 80 base int. so when you start the game with your mage, add 3 int and 1 vit each lvlup. you can play with the recommanded 50 base int, but it makes your game way harder from lvl 20 to 65. 70-80 int is all you need as a psy wizard and if you get it early on, you can “survive” the lower lvls easily.
(for those who can pay for the game, you should go with 3int/1vit then restat at lvl 58-70: 50-80 base int, rest is 3psy/1vit)
add one point to int to reach 80 and put the rest on vit. from now on, get 3psy/1vit each lvlup till you reach lvl 50.
Skill build pre lvl 50:
you MUST have a lot of skillpoints saved for the wizards skills so i recommend getting this skill build for lower lvls.

this can be accomplished at lvl 31. if you spend more skillpoints, you damage your skillbuild after 50 and you cannot correct it till lvl 65 (you get Erease Ability at lvl 65).
IMPORTANT: DONT TRY TO UPGRADE ANY SKILL TO LVL 6.
(for those who can pay for the game this doesnt matter as you are able to full skillreset at any time, if you do it, i recommend doing it at lvl 58 to have all your psy nukes. Multi Magic Arrow isnt a good skill till high lvls so grab the AOEs and ignore MMA. you can also upgrade your skills to lvl 6 or higher coz the IM skill reset stone wont erease the skill enhencer.)
IMPORTANT TIPS:
  • stay in the tutorial area till lvl 9-10
  • complete ALL quests in the tutorial area
  • get vit and int accessories
  • MUST have int on the weapon
  • good armor is important

Stat build after lvl 50:
At lvl 51 you will notice a nice thing, you got 6 statpoints to distribute. you get 6 statpoints for each lvlup till lvl 70. if you concentrate on PvE, get 1 vit each lvlup (rest on psy), if you are planning to PvP a lot you need 2 vit (or even more, depends on your judgement). after lvl 70 you get 8 statpoints each lvl. you can finalise your VIT till lvl 80 or you can just go vith the basic build (1-2 vit each lvl). my personal experience is that the sooner you reach the desired vit, the better coz your damage is a no factor in PvP and its still one of the best the game can offer in PvE.
IMPORTANT: After lvl 58, switch to psy boosting accessories (but dont sacrifice your survivability so have some vit accs for hard situations too)
Skill build after lvl 50:

If you saved the statpoints as i suggested, this is what you should see.
this is a basic PvE oriented wizard skillbuild. PvE because you must lvl so you MUST be able dish out the most possible damage you can do.
IMPORTANT: DONT TRY TO UPGRADE ANY SKILL TO LVL 6. Killing Time and Group Mortal Immune are some of the best tactical skills this game can offer. GMI helps to defend yourself (and your party) from crit build players and will protect you from the many crits of mobs in PvE while KT will help you spam AOE dispell and GMI for PvP.
(for paying customers, upgrade Ring Burst, Psy Shield and Add Temper to lvl 6 as soon as possible, Ring Burst for the decreased cooldown, the rest for the added bonuses.)

Recommended skillbuild at lvl 65:

Congratz. you reached a lvl where you can freely experiment with your skillbuild. with 1 point in Erease Ability youre able to reset the first skilltree, then add 1 point more to Erease ability (to make it lvl 2) and erease the second tree.
IMPORTANT: DONT USE EREASE ABLITY IF YOU HAVE AT LEAST 1 SKILL AT LVL 6, IT WILL EREASE THE SKILL ENHENCER.

Ideal wizard skill build at lvl 89:

Eternal Darkness is a spectacular skill, will make you able to avoid an unvanted fight. Strike Bash will make your party or guildm8ts have some free hits on the enemy. Reraise is a really useful skill especially in PvP. EDIT: consider getting Magic Refletion on higher lvls. cannot be debuffed and will save you from magic attacks, especially vit dekans hard hitting FFS.
SUMMARY:
  • you need 70-80 base int
  • you need int equipment on lower lvls
  • you must be able to stay alive while you are AOEing the mobs to oblivion (use vit accessorys, have a nice amount of vit)
  • your weapon should boost your int till lvl 50+, then it should boost your psy
  • armor comes first, always have a nice armor, its priority over the good weapon
  • have a healer with you all the time (they got the necessary buffs to boost your damage)
  • play in party as much as you can
Check out bladesofwill’s more PvP oriented guide here: Rohan Online
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Im a lvl 8X (legit) wizard on Silva server. what i wrote is based on my (and some of my friends) personal experience. the last part in this guide is about my aim for higher lvls so its not fully tested. use this guide as a reference, but i do belive that it is good for low and mid lvl players.

What is the Human Guardian Class?
The Guardian Class are known as the warrior class of the game. The complete opposite of defender, their power lies on their offensive attacks.
The Guide of the Guardian class is made by FaithMistress of Rohan forums. Don’t forget to drop by the Rohan forum for the latest discussion on the Rohan Guardian Discussion.
Base StatsStrength Build: Most people follow a 3:1 strength to vit build. This is a good starting point as you will do pretty decent damage with decent gears as well as have the HP boost to survive while grinding. However, as a strength build you still need to accommodate for dex in your build so that you can hit mobs every hit without missing. Personally, I stayed with base dex all the way up until level 60 where I was able to use four Wings of Solemn Death (15 strength, vit, dex). I made up for my lack of dex by utilizing level 1 Invoke (20% boost) and dex accessories. If you are not a member of the Exchange Market, I suggest still using dex accessories so that if you ever do get your hands on a Wings of Solemn Death, you do not have too much dex (unless you wish to have it that way, I know many Guardians who do).
Dex Build: This build is often referred to as a cash-user’s build as it is incredibly gear-dependent. I don’t suggest using a full dex build, but instead a 3:1, 4:2, 6:2 dex to vit stat distribution. Many people just put in 1 or even 0 points of vit per level in order to maximize their critical hit damage, but remember this: you will be a crit-based build and should have little problems taking down players as high above you as 5-10 levels depending on your level and weapon.
Hybrid Build: This is the most powerful build for a Guardian there is but it’s very gear-dependent. Without the proper weapons and armor, you will be squishy (lose more pdef than you think you would from the strength/vit you lose per level) and an easy target to take out and if you don’t have the proper weapons then you won’t be taking advantage of what the hybrid build offers — steady base hits with devastating crits. The majority of your stat points should still be going into strength, with a point or so going into dex every level. 2:1:1 strength-dex-vit or 3:1 strength-dex is the preferred build here. Unless you are very experienced, I suggest the 2:1:1 simply because as a new player it is hard to survive without any vitality at all…especially if you don’t use EM or have high level mains where you can farm the necessary boss drops.

Skills
The base Human skill tree looks vastly different for both builds. Starting with the absolute minimum, these are what they should look like:
Strength Knight:
5 Imbue
1 Taunt
5 Rising Might
5 Sharpen Blade
1 Invoke
Dex Knight:
5 Imbue
1 Taunt
5 Protection
1 Psychic Crash
5 Crash Above
1 Sharpen Blade
5 Invoke
5 Bless Shield
5 Charge
Psychic Crash and Crash Above are HIGHLY recommended as even towards end game you end up having a pretty ridiculous amount of free points…I just suggest getting this as every Dex Guardian IMO should have this possible 3rd stun. You don’t have to level it right away in order to save points for the Guardian tree (mainly because you use a lot of points on the Knight tree as it is), but it’s definitely a must-have by end game IMO.
Hybrid Knight:
5 Imbue
1 Taunt
5 Rising Might
5 Sharpen Blade
5 Invoke
The only difference between a Hybrid build and a Strength build on the first tree is Invoke. It’s a must-max for the Hybrid build, while the Strength build doesn’t really utilize it at all.
Now, as a strength build myself, I highly suggest putting 5 points into Sharpen Blade. When you turn 50 and get Sword Mastery, these are amazing buffs to have on that help greatly with PvP against players close to your level (not to mention PvE, too). I have said this so many times before, but weapon damage is one of the most underrated things in this game. Many players try to be ‘cheap’ and save points for the more flashy skills like Order Swing and Crazy Standing…but with this bare minimum build you will have plenty of points to max all of the necessary skills on the Guardian tree as soon as they become available.
Why not Protection? If you really do want this buff, go for it…but it doesn’t prove to be very useful until you are wearing Ka’el or Edwin armors. IMO those 5 points are better spent elsewhere altogether as a strength Guardian, as I just get the Defenders/dex Guardians to buff me with it if I need it. It is a nice buff to have to be nice to the people in your party (puller, mage, healer), but it’s still not very useful until later on in the game.
On to the Guardian tree…
Strength Guardian:
5 Sword Mastery
1 Taunt Roar
5 Rush
5 War Cry
5 Crazy Strength
1 Final Crash
5 Crazy Standing
1 Blue Drain
5 Order Swing
5 Heavy Weapon
5 Crit Aura
1 Roha’s Blessing
5 Knight Symbol
5 Stone Skin
Skills that should be maxed as you get them: Rush, Crazy Strength, Crazy Standing, Order Swing
Dex Guardian:
5 Physical Blow
1 Taunt Roar
5 Rush
5 War Cry
1 Crazy Strength
1 Final Crash
5 Crazy Standing
1 Blue Drain
5 Order Swing
5 Heavy Weapon
5 Crit Aura
1 Roha’s Blessing
5 Stone Skin
Skills that should be maxed as you get them: Physical Blow, Rush, Crazy Standing, Order Swing, Crit Aura
Hybrid Guardian:
5 Sword Mastery
5 Physical Blow
1 Taunt Roar
5 Rush
5 War Cry
5 Crazy Strength
1 Final Crash
5 Crazy Standing
1 Blue Drain
5 Order Swing
5 Heavy Weapon
5 Crit Aura
1 Roha’s Blessing
5 Knight Symbol
5 Stone Skin
Skills that should be maxed as you get them: Rush, Crazy Strength, Crazy Standing, Order Swing
These are still just the basic skill builds to follow. Throughout all my time spent doing PvP, I rarely wish for a longer duration of Roha’s Blessing, yet love Stone Skin being maxed due to how it lasts for the entire duration of Order Swing. If you wish to have Roha’s Blessing do the same, level 3 lasts for 30 seconds. With these skill distributions, there will be plenty of points left over at level 62 and above to work on the rest of your tree to make your character fit your playing style.
AccessoriesStrength: Pre-60, I suggest using dex accessories in order to make up for the lack of dex in the stat build. Post-60, four Wings of Solemn Death are the best way to go until R4 boss drops start becoming more common. On Marea, hardly anybody has them and I don’t think anybody has a full set of any R4 boss drops yet. If you are not a member at all of the Exchange Market, try to keep your dex even or slightly above your level and with the other accessories you can use strength and vit.
Dex: Pre-60, use any combination of dex/vit accessories as these are the only two stats you should ever be putting points into. Post-60, I still suggest using Wings as you get an extra 60 physical defense from a full set as well as 15 dex and 15 vit on each accessory. The same applies for dex as strength — until R4 drops become more common, Wings are the way to go. If you don’t have an EM membership, dex and vit accessories will work just fine.
Hybrid: You can get away with using any accessories that add strength, dex, or vit up until level 60 where you should be using four Wings of Solemn Death. You don’t have to worry about making up for your dex with accessories because you should be adding it every level or so (since that’s kind of the point of a Hybrid) and you shouldn’t have any problems missing.
WeaponsStrength/Hybrid: You should always try to use a Unique weapon if you can make one. If not, at least try to forge Rare weapons in order to benefit from the option stones. For the 1st and 2nd unique weapons, you should be looking for +strength, +vit, and +dex — in that order. Starting with the 3rd unique, you should find weapons with +melee attack percentage as high as you can get it. Why not until the 3rd unique? At a low level you will not benefit as much from the melee attack bonus as you would the strength bonus since each point of strength is equal to 3 melee attack. Which option stones should you use? HP/MP leech for PvE, damage drop/attack speed/critical percentage for PvP.
Dex: All weapons (daggers) should be made with +dex or a mix of +dex and +vit and should be using 4 crit option items when forging the unique. Playing a dex build with anything but a unique critical percentage dagger is just flat out painful and I do not suggest it.
Armor
All Guardians should look for high +physical defense bonuses as a first priority. We are a melee class and will always be taking hits, so physical defense as high as you can get is ideal. Magic defense is very nice to have as well, but is not really necessary until late game (80+). By then, you can get full armor sets with great physical and magic defense from solo quests and then make them into a nice Edwin set.
Which pet should I use?
A Strength build should use either a Soft Kahto, Molly, or a Honey Bear. I’m a firm believer in the in-game pets being the best as I have found that the Hawk did not help and the Tiger is just not necessary. The only Item Mall pet that has proven useful is a Dragon, but even that isn’t useful until a high level when it starts doing good damage. Personally, I use a Soft Kahto because chasing down Rangers in PvP is fun.
A Dex build can use either a Power Tiger to increase critical rate, or if you have a 15 crit dagger and level 7 Crit Aura, you can use a Honey Bear for the extra HP or a Molly to help out your survivability even more. You will still crit very often, don’t worry, and the extra survivability is very nice if you choose to go that route.
Hybrid builds can use any of the above mentioned pets — it’s up to you which suits your playing style best. If you use a shield, though, a level 3 Molly is insane especially stacked with a 20% block rate.
PvP!
The essential skills to PvP are Rush, Crazy Standing, and Order Swing. There’s much more to being a successful Guardian in PvP, but as you play you must learn through your own experiences how to play your character well. There is very little I can tell any Guardian to help them improve in PvP other than practice. I got plenty of advice from a fellow Guardian in my guild, but none of it was of any use to me until I was able to go PvP every day against a rival guild.
The best piece of advice I can give is to know your opponent. It’s useless to go after somebody who you hit 4′s on, so if you are out-matched you can simply help out in group PvP with your stuns, War Cry, and Heavy Weapon instead of being a main killer. Otherwise, just go after the people you know you can kill within a single rush…or help stack stuns on more powerful players in order to drop them with a team effort.
The most important thing to remember about your character is that this game is based around group PvP. If you are into duels, that’s cool…and you can build your character that way. All I’m trying to say is don’t look at a build and come up with a billion counters to it and then think it sucks..because the truth is, half of it is just theory anyway. I see people in other forums question certain aspects of builds because of the 7 million counters to a certain skill…but that’s why this game IS balanced. Any build is countered and it’s important to play your character to its strengths and not its weaknesses.
Shield?
For a Dex build, a shield is an absolute necessity.
For Strength/Hybrid builds, once again this depends on your playing style. If you’re somebody who wants to just go full out offensive, use a dagger in your off-hand. If you want a little bit more survivability as well as the extra stun, go for the shield. It is possible to become a very good Guardian with either route, but I suggest having both a dagger and a shield in your inventory which you can use at any time.

Half Elf Scout Skill Build
Bow Scout
Please take note that this entire long post is purely based for Bow Scout.
Skills Built
I know it’s easier to do a direct allocation of 90+ SP in all the skills desired but the fact that you are going to start from lvl1 and reaching 99 is not an easy task; means you should put SP allocation in a stage by stage or lvl by lvl ranges basis.
Assuming that you are just going into creation of a totally new HE:
As an Archer, you should look into saving as many SP as possible from 1-50, so that you can max essential skills asap, particularly the Buffs in Scout tree.
Frozen : 5
Psychic Pierce : 1
Long shot : 5
Nimble : 5
Fatal : 5
Piercing Root : 5
Double Strike : 5
This set should be your priority till you reach 50. The others not mentioned from your SP built are mainly pvp-intended and should only be considered when you reach a considerable level imo.
Bow Mastery : 5
Melt : 1
Detect : 1
Alacrity : 5
Drill Shot : 5
Ka’el’s Arrow : 5
Multi-shot : 5
Violent Shot :5
Rain Shot : 5
Pouring Shot : 5
All in one :1, 5 later when it get fixed.
I mentioned about saving SP for Scout Tree, it’s for maxing of Bow Mastery and Alacrity once they become readily available to adding in your Scout Tree and also for maxing of Drill shot and all your Aoes.
The one hit skills from your Scout Tree are largely disappointing with only exception of Drill Shot which does good damage (2nd highest after Double Shot) and also a partial Aoe. All-in-one is atm bugged and shoot 9 arrows regardless of lvl so leave it at 0-1 for now and max it only when it get fixed in the future. Premium, Rank and Combine shots’ damages were really unsignificant…I left Combine untouched and only 1 to Premium and Rank;, definately not worth +5.
You have to max all your 4 aoes. That is without doubt, cuz Aoes makes you a Scout and Aoes are your main arsenal for pvp and pvm.
Ka’El Arrow should be max’ed if 1) you have an EM acct, 2) have maxed all the aoes/buffs/drill shot and 3) very pvp inclined in that order.

Ka El Arrows
Why those 3 considerations from previous post?
1)Even at lvl 6 you can only create 150 arrows each time with long cooldown of about ~10mins.
If you do not have EM account to act as storage, making the very limited quantity Ka El Arrow each time will not sustain you for even a short duration pk which make the whole point of adding/maxing Ka El Arrow redundant.
2)Without your fundamental Aoes and one hit skills maxed, using of Ka El Arrows will also be redundant cuz your damages are compromised from crippled, lower damage % from incomplete skills
3)Even with an EM account, the time used to gather a significant amount of arrows is exhausting and storage of EM inv is limited as well. This means you cant use Ka El Arrows for pvm, only for pvp. So if you are not pvp inclined, there is no point adding Ka El Arrow.
What to do with leftover SP?
Your skills in scout tree are pretty much all there as mentioned for both pvp/pvm. So when you get abundant SP now at 8x+, you may go back to Archer Tree to invest/max Pvp-Intended skills like Fainting Pierce and Brandish Kick. i personally do not feel Feeble, Ensnare or Sprint will help you much..
Feeble : Face off with a melee char or Guardian; to actually be in that range to cast Feeble on them means you are way too close to them, and you prolly be paralysed/stunned/dead already before you can even press the “Feeble” command.
Ensnare : To reduce a player 30% of his movement for 7 sec upon maxing might work in 1 on 1 situation for a quick getaway/retreat but wont help much in crowded tight situation. And it’s not like 30% is a lot when Scout aint a very much mobile class as compared to the rest in the first place
Sprint : 1 time use and a 10mins cooldown.. Prehaps a last resort to get away from a tight situation for survival at max, never a skill to freely use or rely upon during pvp due to long CD. You can consider adding if you have too much of an abdundant but i’ve seen scouts (w/o sprint) with excellent movement with just kiting, fluently moving to favourable position to hit or evacuate during mass pvp.
Stats Allocation
It would be safe to add a vit per lvl, or around 130-150 base vita. Rest to dex. Some stuffs that can further boost this would be General Talisman(+10 or +30), Costumes, Accessories, Added stats from weapons, Enchantment from Armors, and IM scrolls. A good 10k+ when you are 9x with almighty should suffice you for most pvp situation. For now, just 1 vit per lvl on base stats is ideal.
Equipments
Armor Stats and Enchantment?
High PD/MD is always the best, while most HE primarily focus on Physical Def which is more crucial till prolly 8x range as the main mobs involved with grinding are mainly melee based while lately with the release of R5 and population of a balanced tagged Magical/Melee Mob in there, Md set is something that should be looked upon as back-up set should you wanna grind there.
Hp Enchantment is recommended for all HE.
Misc
Pet?
Scout rely heavily on Crit%. Some pet that would be of use would be Tiger(Crit%), Bear(Hp%), Kahto(Movement Spd), Dragon(Random Dmg base on Owner’s lvl).
I tried Hawk before with Attk Spd Option’ed and the effect wasnt fantastic with the lack of crit occurence. Just for reference, argurably, the last best Scout in Silva PeaceOfWorld is using DD Bow with Pet Tiger.
I also tried Dragon with Scout and with Ranger. It’s occurence of striking is not dependant on attack speed, just randomised chances but the damage per hit at Pet lvl3 is quite fantastic with 700% based on Owner’s lvl during pvp as it ignores defense.
Bow Stats?
I was using Kastro 83 Ancient 40% Ranged/21Dex/19Vita/20agility/24evasion/8%crit before i job-changed.
As i didnt have any really good bow of comparison when i was 6x and below, i seek a few other’s opinions in that your 4x bows and below should concentrate on Dex’ed Bows and at 6x-10x on Ranged’s Bows. Thats using the total amount of dex built up or accumulated with relative calculations that Ranged% doesnt enhance damage for lower lvl as much as they do to mid-high lvl rangers.
Options Stones to use for Bow?
Crit is really good for option on Scout Bow as our primary source of damage comes from the hastened normal hit crits after each skill. With a good near 8%-11% from Bow, 3% from Tiger and Guardian’s toggle, 20%+ can see you almost critical-ing every 1-2 hits.
Other option to consider when you are higher will be Damage Drop. While i have tried Dual Leech and Attack Speed ones, they are not as optimal as Crit or Damage Drop.
Full Attk Speed from Bow option and Pet Hawk will see you only getting 1-1.5 more normal hit in at the max range and far lesser crit occurence. Dual Leech option % prior to your normal hit leeches far too little, usually too little too late.
Combat
i) Self check(esp during PvP)
-Make sure important eq/items that should be crucial, good loots or secondary eq are already placed in Sealed Slot Bag or sent to EM.
-Do not Veng when purple’d. You can drop your equipped items if you get killed by Patrols that way.
-Be equipped with Ka’El Arrows, often players forget.
-Get buffed with Lvl7 Almighty, good int boosted Templar’s Mental Barrier and Quickness.
-Be stocked with abundant pots, Mana, HP and Elixir, if possible use Legendary ones for HP.
-Item Mail scrolls; optional, i only use them for TW
ii) Partying
A party with good, balanced can always sustain you longer, most applicable for Scout who does wonder when supported by Party.
iii) Self Check part 2 and In-Combat status
-Awareness; try to cast detect as and when possible. Dark Eye is definately good for cloak’ed party or hide’d Dhan
-Know the environment well, especially of the surrounding obstacles/mobs so that you wont get caught in a situation of getting aggro tagged onto you during a combat(worse if magical mobs) or kite into an obstacle.
-Positioning is very crucial; As most scouts would agree upon: the thing you should learn or be well-versed in, is the pre-mid positioning during a pvp and distant yourself from the crowd as much as possible but not being too obvious as a left alone target. It will be good to position yourself either 1) inside group of mobs already aggro to other target or 2) beside priest or beside some group stunnable/melee chars that can provide back up if you were to be targetted.
-Primary targets? Go for Dhan and other HEs. Supporting Member’s kill with Root/Brandish Kick. Try to double-bleed targets, but always stay with your group to enhance survival so that you wont be oblivious to melee class esp Human, Dekan and also Dhan.
In summary, Bow Scout is an enduring PvP style as we do not have any burst of combination like Ranger’s Siege+SpeedWind or Guardian Crazy Stand+etc+Knight Symbol. Our quick normal hits and esp crit ones, hasten after every skill under Imbue condition are is our main dish with the skills as appetizer.
Str Scout
Kindly note that this entire thread is dedicated to Strength/Melee Scout only. It’s not uncommon that some Str Scout are also hybrid built in stats/Scout skill tree. Some topics as discussed here are from verbal consultations with exisiting/ex-str scouts and from observation. As i havent play Str/Melee Scout before and prolly never will, existing/current scouts kindly pour in with your opinions, thanks.

I know it’s easier to do a direct allocation of 90+ SP in all the skills desired but the fact that you are going to start from lvl1 and reaching 99 is not an easy task; means you should put SP allocation in a stage by stage or lvl by lvl ranges basis.

This set should be your priority till you reach 50. The others not mentioned from are mainly pvp-intended or optional and should only be considered when you reach a considerable level imo. Some may question here, why Long Shot? Long shot is mainly for str scout to lure should the need for lurer persists or for hybrid built purpose.
Melt : 1
Detect : 1
Alacrity : 5
Sharp Melee : 5
What to do with leftover Skill Points?
By now you would have realised that you will have tons of leftover SP, as Sharp Melee is your only real source of damage increment buff while the rest are mainly to boost crit occurences.
Some skills to consider :
Ensnare : since melee and close ranger combat is your speciality and with you needing to get close to opponent to inflict, Ensnare and all other skills that can hinder opponents mobility are your main components to pvp.
Piercing Root : requires bow yes, so why? In such instances and like most str scouts i encounter, they usually bring a bow 1) for lure and 2) pvp, to strike piercing root to immoblise target then switch back to dagger for the kill. As touched on Ensnare, close combat is your speciality so stun skill like Brandish Kick (also your main and only melee attack skill) and root skill like Piercing Root become very crucial to make sure that opponent dont slip away. Bow could be use to double up for ranged damage for situational cases.
Sprint : as Str Scout are close combat, sprint may be a skill for quick getaway or for chasing/getting close to your opponents to inflict stun and damages.
Scouts 1Hit skill/Aoe : As mentioned, due to abundant leftover SP, some str scout are also hybrid and carry good bow for combat. Although your stats will be primarily in Str, thus making your Dex based damage skill in Bow Scout skills very very much weaker, your leftover sp are at least put to better use. In pvp/zerg, every bits counts.
Stats Allocation
Primarily full str or 3str/1vita, ~130 vita based. Most Str Scouts consulted are full str built. Some stuffs that can further boost this would be General Talisman(+10 or +30), Costumes, Accessories, Added stats from weapons, IM scrolls
Equipments
Dagger Stats?
Use Dagger for better inbuilt attack speed. Dagger are cheaper in general than sword and also esier to make last dagger with more daggers on sale than sword(which guardian will prolly be in contention to buy). Melee% from 6x weapon above, +Str weapon for 2x-4x weapon
Options Stones to use for Dagger?
Crit or Damage Drop stones. Most consulted use Damage Drop.
MISC
Pet?
Some pet that would be of use would be Tiger(Crit% and also Crit Damage Drop), Bear(Hp%), Kahto(Movement Spd), Dragon(Random Dmg base on Owner’s lvl).
Combat
i) Self check(esp during PvP)
-Make sure important eq/items that should be crucial, good loots or secondary eq(Bow) are already placed in Sealed Slot Bag or sent to EM.
-Do not Veng when purple’d. You can drop your equipped items if you get killed by Patrols that way.
-Get buffed with Lvl7 Almighty, good int boosted Templar’s Mental Barrier and Quickness, and Guardian/Defender Str Buffs.
-Be stocked with abundant pots, Mana, HP and Elixir, if possible use Legendary ones for HP.
-Item Mail scrolls; optional, i only use them for TW
ii) Partying
A party with good, balanced can always sustain you longer, most applicable for Scout who does wonder when supported by Party, especially Healing in this case.
iii) Self Check part 2 and In-Combat status
-Awareness; try to cast detect as and when possible. Dark Eye is definately good for cloak’ed party or hide’d Dhan
-Know the environment well, especially of the surrounding obstacles/mobs so that you wont get caught in a situation of getting aggro tagged onto you during a combat(worse if magical mobs) or kite into an obstacle.
-Some samples of combat observed are
1) Given no Sprint – Root, hit, Brandish Kick, hit, Root (hit Brandish)if the opponent is still not dead or stun failed, then continue the cycle. Always brandish kick whenever possible to try to achieve a chain stun effect.
2) Given with Sprint and Root – Sprint, Brandish Kick, hit, (Root if the person attempt to run), repeat.
3) Given no Sprint and no Root – Brandish Kick, Hit Hit Hit..(Brandish Kick again when cd is gone)
Basically, it’s a melee thing like guardian and all other melee classes just that Str Scout lacks a certain chain combination unlike others which make it slightly predictable and less variable in combat style. Targets to go for will be Dhan/Mages and to support kill with Brandish Kick(also stunning).
Overall, HE class is more squishy as compared to other melee class and though melee scout has really good damage with good melee weapon, their lack of self buff on defense aspect, lower hp and lack of any lethal combination apart from brandish kick make them somehow at a disadvantage as compared to other melee like Dekan, Guardian, Dhan who each has a good chain of combination and almost sure to 1chain/combination kill.
In summary, Str Scout is a class to go for initiative, immediate/instant kill. it has lethal damage, really painful brandish kick+stun, given proper melee. Like all other melee class, your disadvantage is a lack of range and mobility tho as a str scout hybrid, you can incorporate Bow Scout skills with the leftover sp to do ranged.
Bow Scout Common FAQ and Insights
How to make and faciliate your EM account and storage in creating Ka’el Arrows/Bolts:
The trick to storing unlimited arsenal of Ka’El Arrow is the use of EM storage. Let go through the process : Make 1 set of Ka El Arrows, appears in your inventory. Drag the set to be sent to EM, then unseal it from EM so that it goes to your EM storage. In that way, you can store 30sets+ of up to 250 Ka El Arrows. The key here is, even if you have just 1 Ka El Arrow in your character ingame inv, you can not create a new seteven if the skill is free from CD.
Double Shot?
It’s your best 1 hit skill atm….even if skills like all-in-one get fixed, it still remains as your top 2-3 1 hit skills, no reason not to max since typically a scout/ranger need at least 5-6 good and functional hitting skills to play around in the midst of waiting for recovery of cd. And given that your aoes has exceptional cd, the skills with quality and short cd would be your Double Shot, Drill shot and Psychic Pierce.
Sprint?
I didnt think adding/maxing sprint will help. It’s your choice and freedom to add/max it for pvp purpose but the massive cd(idk about lvl7 but i doubt it be a great reduction) is really a turnoff, making it more of a last resort for survival than using for pvp. Some scouts i seen who added to it never use it at all for pvp; it’s only when things get really messy, they got aimed upon, or hp getting really low under pots cd that they use it to keep safe distance, build some buffer time or try to getaway; often in vain.
Why i said it wont really work..cuz if things get really messy, you are already (most commonly) paralysed and rooted, prolly slow and by now all debuffed if your opponents were more proficient. And when you get this up-close and personal with semi-decent melee class like guardian/templar/dekan, you already a goner. And let not forget that HE are the most sought after in-term of being targetted cuz we are most squishy, even so in the case of Scout who dont have a much boosted mobiliity. Even if you manage to survive through or break through the first series of stun/root, you prolly be swamped again by 2nd series of stuns which if you do not have a priest, you should be dead by now. In other words, Sprint might be workable in 1 on 1 with the exception of Ranger, not so, in groups.
Agility?
I had approached dhans with 1xxx evasion and currently the ratio of evasion to avoiding to dex/accuracy isnt done up at all or i would say bugged. In pvp, skills/combination to them does not miss as it should be, given the case of high evasion versus low dex/accuracy.
As the moment, the most we get is “xxx resisted xxxxx”, and that is primarily based on lvl gaps.
Thus, agility has no use for HE atm (at least when Dhans get it, they get damage increment). It’s best to do a general Dex/Vita built till the statistic or specific formula for agility:evasion:dex/accuracy ratio is out and then we can get some reviewing on how optimal a agility built can be for HE.
Common Bugs
Skills
- All-in-1 : Regardless of Lv1-5, shoots 9 Arrows.
- Psychic Pierce : Lv1 dealing Lv5 damage.
- Character stop shooting after awhile or after a skill
No Bolt/Arrow Bug(With Credits to LORDJoe)
Either do a relog, go to character selection or attempt to trouble shoot with the following method :Open your inventory, select target you want to kill, keep clicking on your bolts to equip (spam this), and at the same time, press which hotkey skill you want to use, you won’t be able to shoot normally, only use skills because once you equip the bolt for 1-2 seconds, you can spam your skill and keep repeating this until the bug is gone (normally lasts for about 1-5 minutes).

What is the Dhan Avenger Class?
Like stealth ninjas, their ability to vanish at will puts them at major advantage. Their abilities such as Silence, Mana Burn and Polluting blood easily makes them an ultimate killing machine.

Dhan Avenger Skill Build
Agility Dhan I think are the best all round classes in the game for PVE and PVP. The classes you will have trouble with are Templar and Mages.
Let’s start off with your build. I think 4 agi 4 agi 4 agi 3 agi / 1 vit is the best build till level 50. Then from there on out full agi till level 70. Then from 70-80 7 agi / 1 vit. To really be successful with this character you might have to spend some $ I’ll explain why later, now that we have a build down, let’s talk about skills.

The skill that you indefinitely need to max first are the following

  • Avoid 6/7
This skill boost your agility at level 7 it’s 21%. The more agi…the higher crit you do.
  • Boost 6/7
This skill boosts your critical percentage at level 7 it’s 10%.
  • Deadly Blow 6/7
This skill takes your total amount of agility and applies it at a certain percentage to yourcritical damage. At level 7 it’s 530%.
  • Invenom 5This skill basically adds elemental damage to your crit usually equaling to half your crit. For example if you crit 6000 Invenom will add a additional 3000 making you total crit 9000. Nut’s right?
  • Mortal Rising 6/7
Not only does this skill allow you to have 100% crit when coming out of vanish, but at 6 and 7 it add’s an additional 10 then 20% to your critical damage. Very nice skill.
  • Vanish level 5/6
This skill allows you to disappear from enemies 5-7 levels higher than you, and at level 6 actually gives you a 20% boost to speed.
  • Mana Burn 6
This skill takes the user or monsters level and adds 600% of that heal your mana, on top of that stuns the target for 5 or more seconds. Very nice PVP skill, and easy way to never use MP pots when leveling.
  • Silence level 6/7
This skill disables a users skills, level 7 is 45 SECONDS!! Think how unfair it will be sneaking up on a person and instantly disabling their skills for 45 seconds while you beat on them.
  • Quickness 3
This boosts your dexterity which allows you hit a little more. Get this to level 5/6 later.
  • Parry 3
This allows you to block physical attacks using your weapon. Get this to level 5/6 later. You’ll need Dash level 1 as filler and Mirror Shield level 1 also.

Now when you’re going Avenger your skills should look like this.

  • Free up 1
When those annoying archers root you use this to remove yourself from root.
  • Rowel Spur 1
Just a filler to get to your next skills, if you have a mount its 20% boost to it’s speed.
  • Sealing Square 2
After you stun a archer or a class that likes to run alot, use sealing square so they cannot run off. It seals them in.
  • Health Burn 5/6
This is just the same as Mana Burn but takes the targets Health instead.
  • Death Call 4
This skill at level 4 will bring any character that is running away from you to your feet and paralyze them. How nice is that? Anyone thinking GET OVER HERE!!
  • Mind Exchange 6
This skill in a nutshell turns your targets HP into 200% of their mana. This is one of the best skill you have because it allows you to defeat full VIT characters easily.
UPDATE : Make Secret Hide level 6, it’s a valid argument that it can be useful. After these skills are done you can work on maxing out confusion, dash, agi trap, and duplication. I for one think these skills are a waste of time, but they’re available options according to how you play. Dash and Confusion I think are for wussy dhans who like to run, just my opinion.
After you’re done with these main skills you can max Parry and Quickness. I do not suggest Agility Trap because you’re whole build relies on sneaking up on someone, or death calling them and stunning them till they’re dead. Who has time to set up a little trap that doesn’t even work for monsters? Not me.
Duplication I also did not waste any skill points in because…..it’s useless you have mortal rising which is 100% chance of crit and adds Invenom. Duplication does dual crit’s but does not add Invenom.
Accessories
+20-35 earrings.
+20-35 glasses or eye patch
possibly +20 or higher dex ring (just 1)
rest a mixture of vit / agi +20 or higher.
It really depends on what you’re lacking in as you grow higher in level. If you feel you crit hard enough but lack some hp, get some VIT accessories.
Armors
You need enchanted armors with +hp only! You need this because as a mostly Agi build, you will lack in Vitality. A full hp set can add over 1600 HP! If you’re only PVE get damage drop on your armors. If you’re rich get damage drop set for PVE, HP set for PVP.
Weapons
You definitely need crit rate 7% or higher, and agility. Vitality and Dexterity is ALWAYS a plus. But critical rate and agility FIRST!
My idea for the perfect weapon is 9% crit or higher at least 90 agi or higher 30/40 vit 10-20 dex. The weapon I use is 90 Agi 40 vit 20 dex 9% crit. I also have a 10% crit 130 agi dagger for straight PVP.
